Norberto Aquino takes aluminum to new heights. His love for the simple lines seen in Celtic, Taino and Tribal drawings are the inspiration behind each design. Utilizing recycled anodized aluminum bars to create one of a kind, hypoallergenic pieces, ranging from necklaces and bracelets to rings. Unlike other metals, the aluminum used is lightweight, will not tarnish, will not discolor your skin, and will not react if wet by water or seawater.
Norberto can be found at the Metroflea Mulberry location Thursday through Sunday (weather permitting).

Q: You’ve made Mulberry your permanent location. What do you like best about being here?
Norberto: I was a vendor last year up until the weather went down to 40 degrees and had great success with the amount of traffic this market gets. From my observation, aside from holiday markets, it’s the only outdoor market that attracts a high volume of tourists. These folks want to experience China Town and Little Italy and we are located in the heart of it!
Q: Who is your customer?
Norberto: I’ve asked myself that question a million times, but the truth is that it's an individual preference and style. I have modified my collection at times conforming to current trends and customer feedback. A great example, I’ve added delicate aluminum rings and that’s become a hot item.
Q: From a business perspective, what advise would you offer potential vendors who are “thinking” about selling their pieces at the Mulberry location?
Norberto: The ROI selling at this market cannot be beat! A $60 per day rate with no commitment and having the “world” be your focus group is invaluable, not to mention making money. It truly is a no-brainer!
